Insha Allah we will start with funeral services and extreme financial difficulty due to loss of life or due to health reason for prolonged period of time. However we will insha Allah slowly move into more target categories of support in future as we grow insha Allah.
All the donors, volunteers, working team are the members of the organization and will be updated with activities related to financial supports and community activities.
This is a pure voluntary org without any fees or changes at this stage and for near future. Solely working with very focused goals for community support. Only objective is for the sake of Allah.
Anyone can become a member with a periodic donation and become a part of the MLO community member.
No fixed membership fee. But anyone can become a MLO donor member with a minimum $30/month donation.
MLO has 2 tier system. The organization board members and management committee. Board members are responsible strategic, policy, planning & financial decisions whereas management committee looking after all clients, fund collection & disbursement, case analysis, MLO community engagement etc
At the moment we are starting with Sadaqa money only. Insha Allah we have plan to include Zakat payable option too based on Sharia adviser’s advise
MLO is a pure charity of muslim community. MLO working team or donor members don’t qualify automatically for any financial support. Financial support would be targeting focused group and need based and would be analyzed by management committee based on selection criterion. All cases will be coming under same queue and will be under same selection criteria.
Funeral services support for those who doesn’t have family financial support from his own assets, own family circles or from any other means. This support can be as temporary loan or pure donation depending on situation of the case.
Not at this stage but we are working on this with tax agent and lawyers and our next course of action is to register with ACNC to make MLO as charitable organization by end of this year so the donation can be considered as tax deductible.
